Spring Break is great, but I MISSED MY HUSBAND!

I went on a cruise for spring break this week. Since my husband doesn't get a spring break, I went with my friend Nikki. We had a blast, but the entire time, I felt like a part of my heart was missing.

I thought when I booked the cruise, It wouldn't be that hard to say bye to Michael.

Boy was I wrong. Tears and everything!

Now that I am back, I never want to leave his side.

But, I did have a great time on the cruise!

**

We went on the Carnival Elation. It's a great ship, but is showing its age in some places. The decor is a little dated, but the staff was amazing. There was so much to do. We visited Progresso and Cozumel!

My favorite part of the trip was snorkeling in Cozumel. We also did a zip line excursion. It was really cool. The staff was amazing. I don't have pictures of the actual zip lining, but I do have a picture of the guys who were our guides.

Outside the dining room.

Hanging out on in beautiful Cozumel.

Have you ever seen water so beautiful?

What a Week!

Phew. This was a long week. Aside from molding tomorrow's minds, being a teacher has a major perk. HOLIDAYS and SUMMER! We've had a lot of holidays lately. In fact, I feel like this was my first full week of school in a month.

Anyway, this time of year is crazy for a teacher. The kids are hyped up like crazy and there is just a lot going on at school. If you can, I send your child's teacher a sweet email. Let them know you appreciate everything they've done.

Have a great weekend!

The Foundary

Have you heard about The Foundary? It is my new favorite website. There are a TON of good deals to be found. I've got my eye on this amazing table. Everything you see on this website is unique. I really hope to purchase one of these items soon!

Football can be Fun!

Michael enjoys a lot of hobbies.

Michael is in three (YES, THREE!) fantasy football leagues. This used to be very annoying to me.

When he started doing fantasy three years ago, he was a little too high strung about it. He was looking at the computer every time one of his guys made a play. I was also not as understanding about his new hobby as I should have been.

We've now reached a balance that works for both of us. He doesn't have to monitor his players so closely, and I can enjoy football games, as long as there is a glass of wine nearby.

Now, I still have to figure out how to handle all his other hobbies.

They include the following: hunting, fishing, playing flag football, golf, disc golf, ping pong, and politics.

Twice Baked Potato Casserole

Um, YUM!

That's all I can really say about this dish. I wish I could say that it was healthy. It's definitely not.

Here is the recipe.

I think it will definitely be brought to Thanksgiving dinner. Unfortunately, I am going to have to make it, then refrigerate it. So, I'm hoping it's still good after being refrigerated.

I am so thankful to have a husband who will help me cook. I'm still trying to learn, and it helps to have someone next to me who knows what he's doing!!

This is the dish before we put it in the oven...

This is the dish when it came out of the oven...

Too Many Gifts

Today, Michael and I spent hours and hours and hours and hours opening the rest of our gifts. We had already unwrapped them, but today we actually took them out of their packaging. We are so blessed to have so many wonderful friends and family that gave us so much good stuff!

I do have to say that I am a bit overwhelmed over what to do with all of it. We've been going through and trying to trash old stuff we don't need and organize the stuff we do need. It seriously was an all day process.

We're off to run now!
